Agree or not, spring time is the perfect season to try denim on denim trend if you have been thinking about. I found the denim shirt from our local GAP store. It was on the clearance sale, only $7.99 after discount.

I paired this light blue denim shirt with a dark blue skinny jeans of Levi’s which I got from Kohl’s for only $24.99. The orange heels are from Nine West. I bought them almost ten years ago, still rocking those babies.

Then I completed the look with a white patent leather shoulder bag by Nine West, a pair of over-size sunglasses by GUESS and a statement bib necklace from Jewel Talks.

Many bloggers have shared about the rules of how to pull off a denim on denim look on many fashion blogs. My rules are simple:

1. Make sure there’s color contrast. When you wear two denim fabric, it’s very important to have strong color contrast between them.

2. Skinny jeans are the ones to go for if you want a chic look. Wide leg jeans are a No-No! Unless you want to look like a cow girl. 😉

Hope you enjoy this post! Now go play with your denims!
