Color Blocking, 1, 2, 3

I love color blocking. It’s a fun way for me to style and I’d always love to try playing different colors together.

According to Wikipedia, “Colorblocking is thought of as the exploration of taking colors that are opposites on the color wheel and pairing them together to make interesting and complementary color combinations. It is commonly associated in fashion as a trend that originated from the artwork of Dutch painter, Piet Mondrian.”

This is one of my most favorite color blocking: Mustard Yellow with Hot Bright Pink

Whenever I do color blocking, I’d make sure to only have one color stand out or pop. The Hot Bright Pink is always my most favorite go-to color blocking choice.

In this outfit, I picked up a mustard yellow blouse I got from Rue21. I love it has a golden zipper in front instead of buttons. The zipper made this blouse so mod and chic.

Then I paired the blouse with a hot bright pink pencil skirt.

I finished the look with a pair of turquoise drop earrings and a pair of grey platform sandals.

I hope you enjoyed this color blocking theme as I do. Feel free to leave your comments and let me know what you think.
